General Multimedia FAQ

Check your START\SETTINGS\CONTROL PANEL\SOUNDS AND MULTIMEDIA\HARDWARE\MEDIA CONTROL DEVICES\PROPERTIES this should tell you if everything is installed OK and will allow you to troubleshoot your system. You should also check that the VIDEO CODECS are also installed correctly.

Autorun should work if you have not turned it off on your computer. Try double clicking on run????.exe program in Windows Explorer (not Internet Explorer) or from your toolbar START\RUN\ (your CD drive letter eg.) d:\run????.exe.

If you have an intermittent operation then it is likely to be dirt or damage to the CD. Always handle the CD carefully without touching the shiny side of the disc. You can purchase CD cleaning kits from most music shops.

Some (non-retail) programs are distributed on CDR (these will have an adhesive disc label). These are only 98% reliable and sometimes certain disc types do not work on certain machines. Please contact us if this happens.
